JORD Wood Watch Review + Giveaway

I love watches.  I wear one EVERY.SINGLE.DAY.  When I used to work at the big fancy, we had to look at the sales numbers every hour.  Sometimes if I forgot to wear a watch, I would actually go and buy one because I couldn’t be without one!  I would literally keep looking at my left wrist with nothing on it.  So I guess you can say that I grew accustomed to wearing a watch and checking to see what time it is all the time.  Also, I don’t like being late and I get anxious if I think I don’t have enough time so…. watches are my thing.  You can guess my excitement when I was contacted by JORD to do a review of their wood watches.

I requested and received the Frankie Watch in Zebrawood & Champagne ($189).  It has a big face which I LOVE and has my favorite metal!

Now I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical before I got the watch.  Having worn metal band watches for the last 15 years, I wondered how a wood band watch would withstand every day wear.  Well, I have been wearing mine for about 2 weeks now and I have to say that I am a fan now. Here are a few reason why I love this watch.  It’s light weight, splash proof, and made out of really great materials.  My band is made specifically out of Zebrawood, which is a luxury hardwood.  The face of the watch is made out of Sapphire Glass, which is one of the hardest and scratch resistant materials on earth.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner

I love a good black winged eyeliner just like any other beauty blogger out there.  I draw it on my eyes every single day so I had to try out the most talked about eyeliner.  That’s the Kat Von D Waterproof Tattoo Liner in Trooper (Satin Black).Kat Von D 2Let’s start with the pros. The BEST thing about it is that it has a brush tip which means it doesn’t fray and you can draw the most amazing wing EVER!  The only thing I don’t like about the Kat Von D eyeliner is that it isn’t a true black.  It is really more of a satin/matte black.

I have been a huge fan of Stila’s Stay All Day Waterproof Eyeliner in Black.  This is probably the most used liquid eyeliner out there.  It comes in a ton of different colors so it’s likely that you will find a color you love.  However, the problem that I have with this particular eyeliner is that the felt tip starts to soften and fray which means I can’t draw that perfect wing after awhile.  It’s like a marker, so after awhile it starts to shed a bit and lose it’s pointy-ness.  The great thing about this eyeliner is that it’s the blackest black, and who doesn’t love that?

If you look at the picture where I drew the 2 liners next to each other, you can see how precise the Kat Von D line is.  The Kat Von D liner is easier to control as opposed to Stila’s felt tip.  Obviously I quickly drew the lines to show a comparison but it was much easier to draw a straight line with Kat Von D’s.

So which one am I going to stay with?  This was a difficult decision but I really like the tip on the Kat Von D Eyeliner.  You should definitely try it if you hate having your felt tip fray like me.  Kat Von D also has an Ink Liner which has a felt tip.  I think I will have to try that one out next month!

Let me know if you have used any of these eyeliners and what your thoughts are!
