Sunday Sunset

I had to work this holiday weekend.  When I left the work event, the sun was starting to set and it was so beautiful.  The light that was caught in the pictures is unbelievable – no filter could ever recreate it.

Outfit Details:

Top: Madewell (Similar) | Pants: Anthropologie (Similar) | Shoes: Kate Spade | Handbag: Chanel | Sunglasses: Bottega Veneta | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelet: David Yurman

This is my usual work attire – black skinny ankle work pants and a blouse.  I’m a Southern California girl at heart.  I don’t like to layer and feel constricted so I’m enjoying the warm weather right now.  I love this blouse I got from Madewell.  I can wear it for work or with some ripped jeans for date night.  The back is a little longer than the front which is probably what drew me to this blouse to begin with.  I feel like I hardly ever wear any tops that just go straight across on the bottom anymore.  When I’m out of the office at work events, I’m usually talking to a lot of students and hate leaving my handbag sitting around unattended or weighing me down.  The Chanel Wallet on a Chain (or any crossbody for that matter) works because I almost forget it’s there, yet it holds everything I need.  Plus, since it has that gold chain on the strap it adds something to my outfit, I don’t need to wear a necklace – two birds, one stone.

Hope everyone had a wonderful President’s Day/Valentine’s Day weekend!

I love catching a beautiful sunset. In Phoenix, we have so many of them. For Valentine’s Day the sunset was an insane pink that my whole house lit up pink! 🙂 Also, I love this work attire and the fact that the shirt’s longer in the back!

Cute top. It is my usual work attire as well but I’m having fun with different coloured pants at the moment. I would love you to stop by my blog and add this post to my fashion bloggers link up. I think my readers would really like you style 🙂
